The Form of Magnesium Ascorbate We Carry
Magnesium Ascorbate (Mapped Form) has a bioavailability rating of good absorption.
How to Choose the Right Form
Multiple forms of Magnesium Ascorbate are available. Start by comparing form ratings — Preferred Forms reflect the strongest bioavailability evidence, and higher-absorption forms deliver more active compound per dose unit.
The appropriate form depends on your individual goals and your healthcare provider’s recommendations. Consult a qualified professional before selecting a supplement form.

The Science
The following studies and findings inform FormulaForge classifications for Magnesium Ascorbate:
Founder ruling 2026-10-02 (verbatim "vitamin C 1.0"): all ascorbate salts declared as vitamin C map to PureWay-C (PNVTD0027) at ONE shared DCR; supersedes 0.83, which rested on a LipoVantage liposomal trial (a different product) and is no longer cited. PNVTD0027 = liposomal grade dosed as mg vitamin C (https://github.com/precisionbioage/FormulaForge/pull/4537#issuecomment-5961416064).
Pancorbo 2008 Med Sci Monit: after a 14-day low-vitamin-C diet, single 1000 mg doses of ascorbic acid, calcium ascorbate, PureWay-C or Ester-C; PureWay-C gave the highest serum vitamin C, significant vs calcium ascorbate at 1, 2, 4 and 6 h. No numeric ratio in the abstract; small single-centre study, no independent replication located. Read as: no defensible bioavailability credit for PureWay-C. PMID: 18971870
Dickerson 2024 Nutrients: two randomized double-blind crossover trials (250 mg, n=46; 500 mg, n=47): no difference between ascorbic acid and calcium ascorbate at 250 mg; at 500 mg calcium ascorbate showed some PK / immune-marker differences. Supports one vitamin C basis across salts at label doses; not a bioavailability credit. PMID: 39408325
